Today, January 20, 2009, is a momentous day for our country. Just moments ago, Barack Obama became the first black president to be sworn into office and from this point on I, along with millions of others, anticipate some major positive changes to occur in our country.
Being old enough to understand what happened during the Bush administration and watching firsthand as our country took such a downward spiral, and now being able to actually live through such a significant change is something I never thought I would experience. I have high hopes for President Obama and not once have I doubted his ability to turn this country around.

The changes that will come will take time, but slowly our economy and our country will go through a major transformation to reach the levels of success that the American people once took so much pride in.
Whomever you voted for, whatever your beliefs are, there is no denying that the inauguration today is a monumental piece of history that we are all fortunate enough to live through. I hope you all are taking advantage of this day and watched as our 44th president was sworn into office. Yay for Obama!!!!

I am so excited to have this man as our President. He is going to great for the United States of America.

Hi Khloe,
I think you are great person & I adore your family & I respect your opinion. I hope Obama does well for this country & I stand behind him since he is the new president. People should not be so quick to fault & point fingers at former President Bush. Bush did a great job keeping this country safe & the economy is not entirely his fault as the Democrats caused the mortgage meltdown from policies from Clinton administration. Bush is a patriot & a good man. Let us all tip our hats to the man who has been president for the past 8 yrs.
YAY Obama is officially the president of the United States!!Iam only 16 yrs. old and I didnt get to vote but I will get to vote for him in 4 more years!!
I AM INTO IT NOW SWEETCAKES NOW THERE EATING.
Well said Khloe. Today is going to be a day that I remember for the rest of my life, as I know you all will too. It’s amazing to think we have come so far! I’m proud to be an American, and I know Obama is going to make us proud as well.
Like you said, it doesn’t matter who you voted for, because today is a monumental day regardless. Hopefully we can all come together for the sake of our country, and get past our differences.

BARACK OBAMA!!I thought his speech was great! he commanded attention and made everyone hopeful for the future. barack was definetly the right choice for america right now!! Aretha was pretty bad in my opinion. I could barely understand a word she said.I thought the bow was cute tho. my dad who grew up with motown and her music was excited to hear her and was honestly disappionted. She held out every word on such a note that the song was unidentifable! The poem lady was okay, really slow tho. the guy at the end who was a major part of the civil rights movement was pretty good, and funny at times. whatever the case it was history in the making and i was glad to see it!!!!
i would have loved to see diddy’s reaction to this afternoon’s events!! can you believe for five minutes Joe Biden was our president!! I was glad when that was over.
