The Supreme Court’s Prop 8 Decision

Hi dolls.  The California State Supreme Court announced yesterday that it will be releasing its decision regarding the fate of Prop 8 this coming Tuesday, May 26.

This is a day that hundreds of thousands of both gay and straight people have been waiting for, a moment that people will always remember…a moment where gay couples are told whether they share the same civil rights as any straight couple, or a moment where they are told they have to continue fighting for their equality.

It disgusts me that this is something that has to be fought for in the first place.  Love is love…and the people who voted for Prop 8 cast their vote for hate.

After the decision is made on Tuesday, no matter the outcome, marriage equality advocates will rally all over the country.

Actually, I voted for Prop 8 and my vote was NOT for hate. I’m a Christian and I believe that God created marriage for a MAN and a WOMAN. Everyone should RESPECT each other’s vote. It’s interesting because I thought the Kardashian’s were Christians as well… I guess people change when they get fame. God Bless*

Hi khloe i just watched the show where you did the peta shoot.
it disgusts me how much crap you get for being gorgeous!
you have shown me that i need to appreciate my body. i am no means fat but have been called so because people are bitchy and think everyone has to be a size zero. so thank you so much for that episode. you are a great role model for young girls.

I was raised in a very strict catholic home, and despite that I still believe that love is love no matter who you are. So many things are said in the bible that have been interpreted by people throughout the years who have an agenda to promote a certain way of living, but if you interpret it literally women would have zero rights, and we’d live under a strict regime very much the way they do in several parts of the middle east. I would never vote for prop Hate because I am not god, and therefore I have no right to judge nor to tell someone how to live their life. Just because gay marriage is legal NO ONE is making you marry someone of the same sex! But if it is illegal YOU ARE sayin to people who they can or cannot marry, YOU ARE MAKING THAT CHOICE FOR THEM! I am very happily married and I could not imagine if someone told me today that I couldn’t marry my husband because the bible said that he is of a mixed race or he is too tall for me or for some ridiculous thing which he did NOT choose to be!

    Hi Khloe,
I’m so glad you’re voicing your opinion on this! I totally agree with you, there shouldn’t even be an argument about this, love is love.
I’m from Tampa and I heard you’re going to be here tonight, are you hosting a party like Kim did last night?
Welcome to Tampa, I hope you have a great time :)

LOVE IS LOVE! Geez, do people not get it? I was raised Catholic and still am. I think people can do what they please, it’s their life, NOT yours. God created all of us and he loves all of us no matter what. There may be things in the Bible, but how do you know EVERYTHING in the Bible is true? You know that game where you sit in a circle and start by someone whispering in someones ear and they pass it down then in the end it’s a totally different thing than what was first said, yep, kinda like that. Anyways, kudos to you for believing in equality :)

    thank you very much

I don’t even understand why this is an issue at all. This is telling everyone that its okay for the popular opinion to overrule human rights.

No matter your gender you should be allowed to marry. Love is Love and everyone deserves a chance.
