Guest Blog: Jen Atkin on My X Factor Waves
Khloe’s hair has really great wave naturally, and I wanted to work with that texture. See below for a quick step-by-step guide on how I achieved her wavy X Factor look.
-I applied Klorane Dry Shampoo to her roots to give her hair body, massaging it on her scalp.
-I set a middle part, then used a medium sized curling iron, wrapping sections up and away from the face.
-As I took the sections off the iron, I would pull them while they cooled. This is a great trick to get a more natural wave.
-After waving the hair, I ran my fingers through her hair using Kesari Indian Hair oil to break the curls up and give it more texture and shine.
-I used a flat iron on her ends to keep with the natural wave pattern. You can also use a flat iron to give a bend at the root.
-I sprayed Oribe Superfine Hairspray for a great (but not stiff) hold on her hair.
-I finished this look with a gorgeous headpiece from Jennifer Behr.
