Since the 2011 MTV Movie Awards are tonight, I decided to do one of the nominees for Best Movie as my Sunday movie. I absolutely LOVED Inception, it was just so intense — I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire film. This movie was truly a masterpiece in my book, both visually and mentally. It really blew my mind. I couldn’t even begin to explain the plot to you, because that would probably take all day, so have a look at the trailer for to get a better idea of what Inception is all about. I really hope it wins tonight at the MTV Movie Awards. It’s up against The Social Network, Black Swan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. What movie are you voting for? (more…)

Sunday Movie: Ghostbusters
Haha I know this is such a random one, but I loved this movie when I was little and it just came to me when I was trying to think of a Sunday movie. This is definitely a must-see if you haven’t already — a classic! I found parts of it so terrifying when I was younger, but watching it now just makes me laugh LOL. (more…)
Sunday Movie: The Addams Family
HAPPY HALLOWEEN DOLLS!!!!!! I hope you’re all enjoying one of my favorite holidays of the year! I know I’m going to be celebrating by watching some Halloween themed movies tonight after Lamar’s game. One of my all time favs is The Addams Family. I know it’s not scary, but it’s just so funny and perfect for all ages. If you haven’t seen it, this one is a MUST.
Sunday Movie: Heathers
For today’s Sunday movie, I chose an 80s classic, Heathers. I actually just saw it myself for the very first time after a friend of mine had been bugging me for months about the fact that I had never seen it before LOL. She finally sent it to me and I watched it that night and LOVED it!!!! Now I know why she kept yelling at me LOL. There are so many quotable lines from this movie, I’m going to have to watch again so I can memorize them haha. It stars Winona Ryder and Christian Slater and I used to have the BIGGEST crush on Christian Slater when I was younger. He was definitely in his prime in this movie.
Watch the trailer for a closer look :) Any 80s movie recommendations for me??
Sunday Movie: Hocus Pocus
I was trying to think of a movie that involved sisters, since now that I’ve left NYC I miss my sisters sooooooo much, and funny enough, the first one that popped into my head was Hocus Pocus LOL. I guess it’s fitting since Halloween is coming up. This is one of my favorite Halloween movies and I watch it every year around this time, I can’t help myself! Kim, Kourt and I should dress up as the three witches one year, although the costumes wouldn’t be very cute LOL. Watch the trailer and you’ll see what I mean.
What movies do you watch to get excited for Halloween?
Sunday Movie: The Notebook
Since my anniversary is tomorrow, I of course had to choose a love story for my Sunday movie so I went with one of the most romantic films of all time, The Notebook! Honestly, what girl doesn’t die for this movie?! You can say you’re not the mushy type, but this movie will bring it out in you. It melts my heart every time I watch. I haven’t watched in a while actually and I think watching it now will be an entirely different experience having lived through a whirlwind romance myself LOL. Can’t believe it’s my anniversary tomorrow!!!!! I’m the luckiest girl in the world!
Sunday Movie: Independence Day
Happy 4th of July everyone!!!! In the spirit of this patriotic holiday, I’ve chosen none other than Independence Day as my Sunday movie. I happen to LOVE this movie, it’s one of my favorites! It has an all-star cast, including Will Smith who I die for, he’s absolutely hilarious! This movie is not only action packed, but it’s pretty funny too which makes it that much better. Watch the trailer for a closer look.
I hope you all enjoy your holiday with tons of friends, family, BBQ and sun :)
Sunday Movie: The Fourth Kind
Happy Easter everyone!!!! For those of you who celebrate I hope you’re having a wonderful day with your family. I wanted to think of a Sunday movie about Easter but I couldn’t come up with anything so I decided to pick a movie that I saw in the hotel Lamar and I were living in. It’s called The Fourth Kind and it is so scary! It’s based on a true story about alien abductions and they show actual live footage of the abductions! Lamar and I watched it together and throughout the whole movie an owl plays a key role. People report seeing this creepy owl outside their window, and when we moved to our new home we realized an owl lives in our yard!!! Lamar named him Mr. Who — he is a nice owl, not an alien owl, but it still creeps me out after seeing this movie haha. Ok, I’m rambling now, but for those of you that love scary movies, this is one you should definitely see.
Sunday Movie: Back to the Future
In the spirit of the CRAZY amount I’ve been traveling lately, I decided to do Back to the Future for my Sunday movie. Of course, I’m not traveling quite the distance that Marty McFly did LOL (he traveled 30 years back in time) but sometimes it feels like taht much. This movie is definitely a classic and no matter how many times I watch it I never get sick of it. It’s about a teenage boy played by Michael J. Fox who travels back in time to when his parents were teenagers and gets stuck and has to find a way to get back to the future. It sounds weird when I explain it haha, I guess you’ll just have to watch the trailer to get a better idea.
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! xoxo
