I just wanted to take a moment to wish all of my dolls dancing at THON or working at THON the best of luck during this incredible weekend!!! For those of you who don’t know, THON (Penn State Dance Marathon) is the biggest student-run philanthropy in the world and it raises money for pediatric cancer. The students work all year raising money in any way they can, and the year culminates in a 46 hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon. Can you guys imagine 46 hours on your feet with NO sleep?! INSANE!!!!!! I’m told by people who have participated though that what keeps them going is the knowledge that the blisters, shin splints, burning eyes, and exhaustion are nothing compared to what these children endure. So that’s how they power through. Truly inspiring! (more…)
Hi dolls. As some of you may remember, last year I learned about and was inspired by a charity called THON, also known as the Penn State Dance Marathon. It’s the biggest student-run philanthropy in the world and it’s devoted to raising money for pediatric cancer. So insane! However, to those involved, 46 sleepless hours is nothing compared to what these children endure. (more…)
Just wanted to wish all of my Penn State dolls good luck this weekend at THON!!!! What you guys do for the kids is incredible and I’m so thankful to have learned about such an amazing cause.
THON started about two hours ago and everyone there has a long way to go (about 44 more hours) but I know you guys can do it!!!!! So when you can’t feel your feet, and are struggling to keep your eyes open, just remember who you’re doing this for. So proud of all of you! xoxoxo
For The Kids,
