For those of you who aren’t familiar with the organization, Cathy’s Kids was founded by Lamar a few years back to facilitate his charitable efforts which focus on making a positive impact on the lives of under-privileged children as well as targeting a disease that has played a significant role in his life; cancer. I have become extremely dedicated to this initiative and by making YAHOO.COM your homepage, you can help us make a difference.
Hi dolls! Lamar and I just launched another eBay auction and this is probably our best one yet! It’s filled with some of my favorite items from my closet that I decided it was time to finally part with. Trust me, it was not easy, but I make it a point to clean out my closet a few times a year to avoid a disastrous clothing overflow (we all know how OCD I am LOL).

It’s always hard to part with some of my favorite pieces, but it’s so worth it knowing it’s for such a good cause.
For this week’s charity, I’ve decided to highlight the one my wonderful hubby started — Cathy’s Kids. Cathy’s Kids focusses on improving the lives of underprivileged children by providing them with the resources necessary for a successful future, such as books, computers, recreational opportunities and mentoring and tutoring services. Every time I see him working with his charity I fall more and more in love with him. He’s made me a better person and has taught me that anyone can make a difference if you have the desire and the passion to do so. Continue reading after the jump!

Last night Lamar and I launched an eBay store together and we could not be more excited!!!! All auction items benefit Lamar’s foundation, Cathy’s kids, and this charity truly means the world to him! Cathy’s Kids is devoted to helping underprivileged children by providing the funds they need so that they can receive an education and ultimately ensuring a better future. I can’t even express how important it is to Lamar that today’s youth have all the necessary resources to get all the opportunities they need to succeed in life. What he does inspires me to be a better person every day.
