We all know that I’m not one that’s afraid to speak my mind, nor do I get embarrassed very easily, so I have no problem screaming at the top of my lungs about periods and vaginas. Getting your period is natural, so as a woman, why should I have to keep my mouth shut about it? But not all girls are as comfortable discussing these sorts of topics as freely as I am, and that’s the issue that I want to address here.

It shouldn’t take a primarily female environment to make girls feel at ease talking about their period! Personally, I like talking about these things LOL, which was why I so excited to participate with Kim and my mom in a series of videos called “Getting Real” with U by Kotex. We answered girls’ questions about their periods, and shared some fun personal experiences of our own. It is very important to talk to young girls about getting a period. I am the oldest sister in my family and my mom talked to me, I just wished someone talked to me about cramps cause I swear im gonna die every month child lol…

one of my closest friends tells me about her periods all the time and im a guy-it doesnt bother me lol
personally, I am very prudish when it comes to talking about anything like that with anyone. I have always been like that even growing up with 3 other sister and my mom. People laugh at me because of it. But when it comes to speaking openly to young girls about it, I am glad that there are people out there who can do that. Some girls don’t have that from anyone and need someone to give them the facts. Just don’t ask me to do it :)

I really admire you for being so open-minded about everything: periods, vaginas (LOL), gay-marriage (which I approve, too), just… Everything. There are some girls at my school that think that if they talk about the period someone will die or something like that. I think it’s just stupid, they’re denying who they are. Be yourself and no one will ever be capable of judge you for that.
Oh, and seabrooke, get a life. If you don’t like to hear what Khloe says, then don’t.Just don’t annoy people afterwards.
