I have seriously been so into cooking lately, so over the weekend I decided my next kitchen adventure would be to make my own pretzels!! They came out PERFECTLY! I was so proud of myself. I need to stop watching those cooking shows LOL. I’m addicted!!!!!
Here’s a pretzel recipe for you dolls to try at home. Let me know how they turn out and feel free to post pics of the final result to my Facebook wall :)
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons yeast
2 cups warm water
6 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 cup honey
3 eggs, beaten
Honey Butter Mix, recipe follows
Kosher salt, for sprinkling
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine the yeast and warm water. Add the flour, salt, sugar, honey, and eggs. Mix thoroughly for about 10 minutes. Let the dough rise about 10 to 15 minutes. Divide the dough into 4-ounce portions and shape into pretzels. Place on a greased cookiesheet and let rise for 1 hour. Brush with Honey Butter Mix and sprinkle with kosher salt. Bake for 20 minutes.
Honey Butter Mix:
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup honey
Directions:
In a small bowl combine melted butter and honey.
