Yesterday, June 11th, the city of Miami passed the Domestic Partner Ordinance which means that domestic partnerships will be granted the same legal rights that a married couple would have (including health benefits).
In honor of the ordinance’s passing, I hosted a drag look alike competition to bring awareness to gay rights organization, Save DADE. Save DADE was created in 1993 to protect gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals from discrimination on the basis of their actual or perceived orientation.
I decided to put myself out there and host the competition to bring extra awareness to the organization. I had the BEST time! What can I say? I guess the trannies and I just click! LOL.
