One of my favorite things to do in my free time is to interact with my Twitter fam and answer as many questions as I can. I love that through Twitter I can talk to my fans and see what they're up to, which is what led me to this particular blog post.

I recently saw a tweet from a college student named Joey Parker asking me to check out his blog that he started last month. The Joey Parker Movement documents the time he spent in Africa and shares photos and stories from his experiences there. It definitely hit a soft spot for me after seeing firsthand the devastating conditions in Africa when I went with Kim and Reggie.

While Kim, Reggie and I were in Africa we visited a private children's school in Botswana.  It is the only private school in the area and they actually send their teachers to the more underprivileged schools to learn their curriculum.

The kids were so excited to see us!!!  We got such a warm welcome.  They were all so sweet and even made posters of us and hung them up all over the classrooms.

It was so nice to meet the teachers as well!  They were absolutely incredible -- just so open and such amazing role models for these students.  They truly loved and cared for those kids as if they were their own.  I wish my teachers were like that!  LOL.  I was so inspired by the bond the teachers and students shared.

Hi dolls.  As I said in a post last week, Kim, Reggie and I spent an incredibly eye-opening week in Africa.  It was exhausting and we were soooo busy, but we had an amazing time and all got so much out of it!  Just wanted to share some more photos from the feeding facility we went to. 

All of the children were so adorable -- getting to spend time with them was definitely my favorite part of the trip.  We handed out food and played with them and Reggie and former NFL player Ray Crockett signed footballs and gave them out to the kids.

One of the funniest things was that the kids LOVED my nails!  I had long nails with silver tips with rhinestones on both of my ring fingers and they were fascinated by them.  Also, they loved my hair -- they kept on rubbing my head and just playing with it...it was SO cute!!!!  They seriously melted me!  I'm sure you'll feel the same way when you click through the pics in the gallery.

As I'm sure you all know, Kim, reggie and I are in Africa right now and it has been the most incredible experience of my life!!!!  I've taken soooo many pics but I'm having trouble uploading them so here are a couple I took on my phone.

We went to a feeding facility yesterday with D.E.F., the Diamond Empowerment Fund.  D.E.F. is an organization created to support education initiatives geared toward disadvantaged people in Africa.  We handed out food and milk to women and children and we got to play with the kids -- they were all SO adorable!!!!!!!

This has been the most eye-opening trip and I can't wait to share all the details with you when I get back!!!!  xoxo

On Wednesday night, before I went to Maxim's Hot 100 party, I went to Nigel Barker's Save the Seals event. Nigel is truly an incredible man -- so influential and the work he's done for these beautiful, harmless creatures is truly amazing!!!  After teaming up with the Humane Society, Nigel went to Canada to document the birth, growth and death of the seals there. 

The seals are being hunted for their fur and the purpose of this event was to bring awareness to the unnecessary cruelty being inflicted upon them :(

Malika and I went together and just seeing the photographs that Nigel took makes you wonder how anyone could ever want to hurt such beautiful animals.

My brother Brody and his girlfriend Jade were there, as well as Carmen Electra and her husband Rob.  It was a really moving experience and I am flattered to have been invited to attend!

This past Saturday my mom and I went down to Cal State Fullerton to help bring awareness to the Donate Life Run/Walk.  Just recently I became an organ donor and I am sooo happy I did.  It is so easy to sign up too!!! You can either go to the DMV and check the box or you can do it online at DonateLifeCalifornia.org.

For every one person that signs up to be a donor, eight lives can be saved with the donation of their organs and 50 can be helped with the donation of tissue.

At the Run/Walk I met and spoke to so many amazing, brave people who were either recipients of a transplant or were donors. This really inspired me to reach out to more people and try to recruit donors! Please become an organ donor or at least go to the website and find out a little more about it!

As moving as the event was, it was also SO much fun!!!  There were rides, great music, and awesome people!!!  Manny on the Streets and I went on all the rides together and Chikezi from American Idol performed.  I had a blast!

Kim, Rob and I attended a dinner over the weekend hosted by the Etchmiadzin Children's Fund, which raises money and awareness for disadvantaged children throughout Armenia. 

The purpose of the event was to raise funds to help to send clothing, school supplies, medicine, and other necessities that these children are not fortunate enough to have.

The fundraiser was for such an unbelievable cause and Kim, Rob and I were so flattered to have been invited.

Last week Kim, Kourtney, and I went to Carver Elementary School for Read Across America. We read to kids in the first and fourth grades -- it was so much fun!  The kids were absolutely adorable and they all got really involved!  I love when we get to do things like that!

Hey guys.  I just wanted to clue you in on an eBay auction that I feel is for an incredibly important cause. 

The auction is for the Brent Shapiro Foundation For Alcohol and Drug Awareness.  The foundation's mission is to spread awareness about the dangers of alcohol and drug addiction and the consequences that can often be a result of the disease.

Brent Shapiro battled drug and alcohol addiction after experimenting with the substances in high school.  After entering rehab a number of times, Brent got his life together and set his sights on some big goals for the future.  After 18 months of sobriety, Brent had a setback and mixed alcohol with ecstasy and the combination resulted in his death. 

His family, who are close family friends of ours, founded this organization in Brent's honor in order to prevent other families from suffering through the same tragic ordeal that they did. 

Please check out the eBay auction that they are holding to raise money for the foundation.  You can get some really great stuff on there!

Hey Dolls!!  As some of you might have already seen on Kim's site, my family and I are auctioning off some of our personal belongings, such as clothing, shoes, and even CARS!!!!  That's right!  You guys could be cruising around in Kim's Range Rover, Kourtney's Maserati, or Reggie's Mercedes!!!  A portion of the proceeds will go to the Dream Foundation, which is a really incredible charity that makes the dreams come true of terminally ill adults.

Munchin Inc. is doing a special project this month since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I had the opportunity to decorate and sign one of their adorable pink rubber duckies and it is being auctioned off on ebay!

The auction ends on October 29, and proceeds from the sale of the ducky will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure and it comes with a certificate of authenticity. You can check the auction out here!

Hey dolls! I love doing charity work! Really, I just love to help people and show that I care. When a charity is close to your heart you should do as much as you can for them. Speaking about causes and charities alone can be so helpful!

I wanted to share one of my favorite charities with you all. It's the Brent Shapiro Foundation For Alcohol and Drug Awareness. I love this charity for so many reasons, but my main reason is that the organization is so passionate about informing parents and children about these diseases. They have so many different techniques in teaching and they are in the process of creating a program for colleges and high schools too. The foundation wants to help you before there is a problem. This charity was founded by Robert Shapiro, who was a great friend of my father, after his 25-year-old son, Brent, tragically died after an alcohol and drug-induced coma. Here is his story.



Alcohol and drug dependence is an issue that is growing to epidemic proportions. Please check out The Brent Shapiro Foundation website. There is so much important information there. I encourage you to read it and reach out to those in your life who are suffering from the effects of substance abuse. Tragic stories like that of Brent can be prevented! Dont be afraid to save a life! Take care of the ones you love!!

Kourtney, Kim and I hosted the Annual Style LA Fashion Show this week. It was a great event because not only did we get to see the latest swim and resort fashions, we also got to help out a couple of causes. Beneficiaries of the event included the Facial Paralysis Foundation and Stop the Violence/Face the Music. I love to do anything with fashion and charity.

There were so many sexy men there. Our wardrobe didn't show up to the event, so we had a day to pick out our outfits. That was stressful, but we all knew that it was for a good cause and smiled the night away because this event was right up the Kardashian sister alley.

I originally planned on taking it easy the night before I had to head to jail for my DUI, but my sisters convinced me to go out for one last hurrah. We went to Matt Leinart's bowling party for his charity foundation. I had no idea that the press were going to be there and that there was going to be a red carpet, but oh well. It was for charity and it was a really relaxed event.

We stayed and bowled for about 2 1/2 hours. Then Kim and Reggie asked me where I wanted to go for my last dinner before heading to the coop, so we went to Wendy's. We pigged out in the back of Reggie's Escalade in the Wendy's parking lot, especially me because I was planning on fasting while I was in jail because I was scared of the food! We ate so much and then gave the rest of our food to a homeless guy who was hanging around the parking lot. Charity all around!

A Time For Heroes is an AIDS Charity Carnival we go to every year with the fam. This year, Kendall, Kylie and I hosted a booth with Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and Lauren Bosworth from The Hills. We helped people decorate little pots and plant trees. It was actually a lot of fun. Bruce was there and he got to work with Robin Williams.

I got my face painted which was kind of goofy, but fun. Then the Cheetah Girls performed (including Rob's girlfriend Adrienne) which made Kendall and Kylie pretty freaking happy.  One highlight was that Bruce did some events with Robin Williams.  And all in all, it just feels good when you do things for charity - especially this one.  Can't wait for next year!
